Neil Percival Young is een Canadese singer-songwriter. Hij begon zijn muzikale carrière in Winnipeg in de jaren 60, waarna hij naar Los Angeles verhuisde. Hier had hij succes met de band Buffalo Springfield waarna hij zich op solowerk richtte met Crazy Horse. Niet veel later sloot hij zich aan bij Crosby, Stills & Nash. Hij bracht tot nu toe 47 studioalbums uit. Het succesvolst was zijn album Harvest uit 1972.
