Synopsis van Fort Apache
Fort Apache es una película del oeste estadounidense de 1948 dirigida por John Ford y protagonizada por John Wayne, Henry Fonda y Shirley Temple. La película trata sobre un rígido teniente coronel, Owen Thursday, que es destinado al remoto Fort Apache. Allí llega con su hija, Philadelphia, quien no tarda en sentir atracción hacia el apuesto teniente Michael O'Rourke. La rigidez de Thursday choca inmediatamente con la vida que llevan oficiales y soldados en Fort Apache. Su oposición al noviazgo entre su hija y Michael crea una especial tensión en el fuerte. Su intransigencia en las negociaciones de paz con los apaches comandados por Cochise, que han abandonado su reserva disgustados por el mal trato que les brinda el gobierno, empujará a sus hombres a una tan innecesaria como cruenta batalla.
